Who is responsible?
The Kids Backyard Ultra Zollikon is organised privately by Patrice Neff. For any questions about data protection, reach us at patrice@kids-backyardultra.ch.
What data we collect
When you register your child, we collect:
- the child’s first and last name
- year of birth
- gender
- address (street and number, postcode, town)
- the name of a parent or legal guardian
- an email address for the confirmation
- an optional comment, if you would like to tell us something
We do not ask for more. When you visit the website, we count visits with our own cookie-free statistics (Umami). This records no data that could identify individual visitors, and none of it is passed to third parties.
What we use the data for
We use the details only to organise the event: to send you the registration confirmation, to compile the start list, and to reach you in case of questions or a short-notice cancellation. We do not use your data for advertising and we do not sell it.
Photos and videos of children
This matters to us: we do not publish any photos or videos in which individual children are identifiable. For the website or social media we use at most atmosphere shots in which no child can be clearly recognised, for example wide shots of the group, pictures from behind, or close-up details.
If, in exceptional cases, we would like to use an image in which a child is identifiable, we ask the parents for permission first. You can object to the use of an image of your child at any time; just write to patrice@kids-backyardultra.ch and we will remove it.
Where your data is stored
The website and your registration data are hosted and stored on a server in Germany.
To send the emails, that is the confirmation to you and the notification to the organisation, we use Amazon SES (Amazon Web Services) with servers in the London region (United Kingdom).
Both countries offer an adequate level of protection under Swiss data protection law. Beyond this, we do not pass on your data.
How long we keep the data
We delete the registration data at the latest three months after the event. If you would like to be informed about the next Kids Backyard Ultra, we keep your email address longer only if you explicitly agree to it.
Your rights
You can ask at any time which data we have stored about your child, and have it corrected or deleted. A short email to patrice@kids-backyardultra.ch is enough.
Changes
This privacy policy may change if we adjust the event. Last updated: June 2026.
